Professional Practice

Resident artists occasionally wish to expand their professional practices and engage with our local community. In the past, artists have created site-specific artworks, given readings, performed compositions, shared research, presented short demos, facilitated participation, and taught informal workshops. While KHN does not have the staff to develop community outreach projects, we are happy to support the artists in the success of their artworks and their residency goals. The Center may know of resources and opportunities that may be of interest to artists visiting our community for a short time. For more information please contact us via email or by calling us at 402.874.9600.

If an individual or organization from our community is interested in collaborating, providing an opportunity, or finding out how to become more involved with our visual artists, writers, or composers, please contact us via email or by calling us at 402.874.9600. Additionally, the public is invited to our monthly First Thursday Open Studio event, where the community may meet artists directly.
