Elizabeth Stehling joined the Kimmel Harding Nelson Center for the Arts as Program Director in June 2014. Previously, she taught in the art department at Hastings College in Hastings, Nebraska and at the University of South Carolina Upstate in Spartanburg, SC. Pat Friedli, Assistant Director
Pat Friedli has been Assistant Director since 2007. She began with the Kimmel Harding Nelson Center for the Arts in 2001 working as a volunteer. She enjoys working with the resident artists to make them feel welcome and to support them in their creative endeavors saying, “I love meeting so many interesting people from all over the world. We have a great residency program where artists can be comfortable in the community and meet other artists, while at the same time focusing on creating art.”
Pat has lived in Nebraska City for 20 years. After graduating from Nebraska Wesleyan, she has had several careers but says, “It is very rewarding being here, surrounded by all of this art and so many wonderful artists. The Kimmel Harding Nelson Center for the Arts is a great place to be.” In her spare time Pat enjoys creating fiber art and quilts.
