Josh Goldman composes / improvises / performs music, using acoustic and electronic sources, for various ensembles and settings. Much of his music combines sound and visual elements. His compositions and performances have been presented at a number of international festivals and conferences. He has received awards from Miso Music Portugal, Institut International de Musique Electroacoustique de Bourges, Accademia Musicale Pescarese, Madrid Abierto, Delaware Valley Arts Alliance, Ministerio de Cultura de la Junta de Andalucia, ASCAP and others. In 2007, he was an Artist-in-Residence at the Kimmel Harding Nelson Center for the Arts, the Montana Artists Refuge and the Prairie Center of the Arts. Mr. Goldman holds degrees from New England Conservatory of Music (BM in music performance) and Brooklyn College, CUNY (MM in music composition). Currently, he is pursuing a doctoral degree in music composition at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music.
