Melanie Pappadis Faranello
Melanie Pappadis Faranello is Chicago-born writer living in West Hartford, CT. She received the Marianne Russo Award for her novel-in-progress from Key West Literary Seminars, and her writing has been twice-nominated for a Pushcart Prize. Her work has appeared, or is forthcoming, in StoryQuarterly, Hippocampus, Blackbird, Huffington Post, Catamaran, Vestal Review, StorySouth, Pedestal, Connotation Press, Literary Mama, and elsewhere, and has been short-listed for the Mary McCarthy Prize in Fiction, The Dana Awards, and William Faulkner Wisdom Competition. Recipient of a CT Artist Fellowship Award in Fiction, she received her MFA in creative writing from The New School.
