Cyprien Clément-Delmas
Cyprien Clément-Delmas is an acclaimed director and respected photographer whose work bridges the worlds of documentary film and photography. With a deep commitment to exploring marginalized communities and political transitions, his photographic series such as DALESIDE, THOKOZA, and INTO THE EAST have been exhibited internationally—from Rencontres d’Arles to Photo Saint-Germain. His co-authored book DALESIDE: STATIC DREAMS with Lindokuhle Sobekwa was published by GOST in 2020 and garnered critical acclaim. As a filmmaker, Clément-Delmas has directed award-winning documentaries including BOY OF WAR, THE LAST TAPE and DIOSA praised for their raw intimacy and socio-political depth. His experimental short documentaries shot during U.S. presidential inaugurations (DAY ONE, LAST DAY) reflect his bold, immersive style. With over 100 festival selections and more than 30 awards, his work is supported by institutions such as the Rubis Mécénat Foundation and Nikon Africa. He continues to develop his new project across the US, exploring climate change issues and human stories.
