BLAKE ALLEN is a multifaceted composer, arranger, music director, and musician living in New York City. A PhD Candidate at New York University, Allen made his professional composer debut at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in 2015. Since then, Allen’s music has been heard at Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, Broadway, and all over the world as well as having been recorded by Daphne Rubin Vega, Tony-Winner Cady Huffman, Olivier-Winner Lesli Margherita, and Grammy-Winner Tim Young, among others. A staple of the NYC cabaret scene, Allen’s hit concert series, “An Evening With...” runs bimonthly at the famed Green Room 42. Allen’s music has also been featured in film, tv, and is recorded on Traguna Productions Label. Allen was the musical arranger for the record-breaking Shade: Queens of NYC, and his theatrical shows include Folk Wandering (Off-Broadway, 2018), the shards of an honor code junkie (Off-Broadway, 2017), HOCKET, and Boston|Nebraska.
