Corinne Elysse Adams is a story collector, writer, songstress, folk musician, and teacher. She completed her undergraduate degree at Sophia University in Tokyo, and received a master's in poetry from the University of Edinburgh. She has lived and travelled all over the world, collecting stories and studying folk arts and musical traditions. She currently lives between Austin and Chicago, where she plays traditional Irish fiddle, studies Japanese folk singing, and performs with Austin-based Americana/folk trio Full Moon Medicine. Her poetry has appeared in journals such as Confrontation, Alimentum, and Lunch Ticket and was the recipient of a Dorothy Sargent-Rosenburg award. Her work with multimedia storytelling project thread whispers has been shown in exhibits at LAMO (Ladakh Arts and Media Organization), the Goa International Photography Festival, Kerala's Art*ry Gallery, and was featured in the June 2015 edition of Verve Magazine.
