Jeff M. Brown is a pianist, conductor and composer for choirs, instrumentalists, churches and children's projects. Recent awards include the Helene Wurlitzer Foundation residency grant, Florida Alliance for Arts Education Teaching Artist Fellowship, first prize in the 2015 Melrose Awards (audio category) in Orlando FL, the Banff Centre Artist in Residence Program and the IC3 Residency at the National Hispanic Cultural Center/McCune Foundation. Works revolve around the search for resonance at the intersections of sound, music and language. Recent projects highlight Native American storytelling, ancient Roman Catholic choral traditions, Spanish language pedagogy, Louisiana street parade music, and children's bed time poetry. Before becoming a musician, he graduated in Industrial Engineering and worked several years as a business technology consultant for Accenture in North, Central and South America.
