Kate Bae is a multidisciplinary immigrant artist based in NYC and South Korea. Her practice includes painting, site-specific installations, and sculptural works. Bae holds an MFA from the Rhode Island School of Design and a BFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. She is the founder of Women's Cactus for the Arts and has exhibited nationally and internationally, including at the Jeju Museum of Art in Korea and the Brooklyn Museum in New York.

Her work has been supported by the Puffin Foundation, Real Art Award, Malikah Gender Justice Institute, and Ora Lerman Trust. Bae has participated in residencies at the Golden Foundation, Studios at Mass MoCA, Wassaic Project, Trestle Gallery, Chashama, and the Lower East Side Printshop, among others.
