Mary Ensz (she/they) is a Nebraska based artist and muralist. Mary received their BFA in Studio Art from Creighton University and is a Class 11 Circles member with the Women’s Fund. They create vibrant community murals and experiment with painting, drawing, and collaging in their attic studio. She layers human forms and Russian nesting doll shapes to connect complex identities and truths with instinct and play. Their work has been displayed at Kaneko, RBR G, Split Gallery, Petshop, BFF Gallery, amongst others.

They’ve had solo exhibits at Radial Arts Gallery, Creighton University, BFF MaMO, and Hallowed Cinque coffeeshop. Her curatorial experience includes “Emergence” at Radial Arts Center and several Nasty Artist Collective group shows. She was lead artist for Westgate Pool’s mural, “Mental Health is Community Health” on 24th Ave. and Farnam, was a 2022 OSAF Mural Cube artist, and on the South Omaha Mural team for Orsi’s Pizza. Nebraskans for Abortion Access and BFF Omaha selected Mary’s work “Access for All” to display on a billboard to spread awareness for abortion access in rural Nebraska.
