Sarah Boyle
Sarah Kit Boyle is a composer, vocalist, and pianist in Cleveland, Ohio, where they independently study musicology. They use this study as a vehicle for their creative work, seeking to understand musical expression and its utility in evoking memory.
In 2019, they graduated with a Bachelor of Music in Composition, specializing in choral works and art songs. Their compositions have been premiered by the Cleveland State University Chorale, the Topaz Film Festival, and the Vegas Movie Awards.
As an active performer, they lead the chamber-pop project Sugardeer, where they explore emotional songwriting through the values of pop production and classical performance. Sugardeer has performed in major cities across the eastern United States and gained critical acclaim for their 2023 EP “Good Names for Strays”.
Boyle stays involved in their community as a teacher and labor advocate. In their freetime, they like to create animations, run long distance, sew, and practice embroidery.
