A native of Los Angeles, Thomas Kotcheff has been establishing himself in Southern California as a successful composer and pianist. As a composer, Thomas has attended summer music festivals such as The Norfolk Chamber Music Festival, The International Summer Music Academy in Ochsenhausen, Germany, and the MusicX Festival in Blonay, Switzerland. In June, Thomas is looking forward to attending the 2014 Aspen Summer Music Festival. As a pianist, Thomas has had many notable performances including premiering his own Piano Concerto with The University of Southern California Thornton Symphony, collaborating with Eighth Blackbird at the Music11 Festival, and performing Mozart's Piano Concerto No. 14 in Austria with the Vienna Residence Orchestra. Thomas is currently a Doctorate of Music candidate in music composition at the University of Southern California where he studies with composers Donald Crockett and Stephen Hartke. Beyond composing and performing, Thomas has founded an online radio station ( dedicated to showcasing the music of contemporary concert composers.
