Rae Howell announced World Premiere of Bee-Sharp Honeybee

Wednesday, November 6, 2019

KHN Alum (2018) Rae Howell announced Bee-Sharp Honeybee's world premier at the Natimuk Frinj Festival (Vic, AUS) on November 2, 2019. Bee-Sharp Honeybee features a 12-piece string orchestra, music by Rae Howell with live projections by artist, New York City's CJ, and ‘Beetrice,' the caravan of homegrown bees, live streamed onto the Natimuk wheat silos. Honey tastings were available by local Wimmera beekeepers with artwork by Melanie Obst. Rae Howell worked on this expansive project at multiple locations, including while at KHN as a resident.

"Bee- Sharp Honeybee magnifies the subtle intricacies of the beehive. Developed from extensive research of rhythm, pitch and wiggle dance patterns, the familiar surrounds of the Natimuk Silos will come to life. Well I’ll Bee!" (Rae Howell/ Instagram: @sunwrae)

Congratulations, Rae!
