Writing forms an important part of her creative practice and a chapbook of her poems was published in 2016 by Dancing Girl Press. In the last three years she has been an artist-inresidence at ACRE, a participant composer with the Toronto Creative Music Lab, and twice an Associate Artist at the Atlantic Center for the Arts, working with composer/improviser Karl Berger and poet Heather McHugh, respectively. An active feminist, she is on the board of the International Alliance for Women in Music and is the director of Listening to Ladies, an initiative showcasing non-cis-male composers. She currently ekes out a living by composing and producing stage music for magicians.
