Kerry Hirth is a painter, illustrator and musician from rural central Missouri, where she grew up on her parent's small farm. She attended the University of Missouri, Columbia, receiving a B.A. in Philosophy with a minor in music performance, while also performing at the Aspen Music School for two seasons. She later received an M.A. in Philosophy at the University of Colorado, Boulder. Kerry has worked as an artist throughout her life, including providing nature illustrations for the Katy Trail Guidebook, spending two months in Central America drawing artifacts for the University of Texas, Austin, as well as doing architectural renderings. She now paints with soft pastels in her studio near Columbia, Missouri, using her natural synesthesia to capture musical harmonies in color, and focusing on the music of Bach, Chopin and Scarlatti. Kerry is a member of ARC Gallery and Educational Foundation in Chicago, Illinois.
