Kristina Paabus (US/EE) earned her BFA from the Rhode Island School of Design and MFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Using a multidisciplinary approach, Paabus creates images, environments, and situations that examine our perceptions of structure. In 2009 Paabus was a Fulbright Fellow in Estonia (Installation Art). Kristina has exhibited her work throughout the US and Europe, including Chicago, Boston, Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Reykjavik, Miami, Berlin, and Tallinn. Recent residencies include ACRE, Ox-Bow, Women's Studio Workshop, Lill Street, Culture Factory Polymer, Samband Íslenskra Myndlistarmanna, and Inside Zone. Prior to her current position, Paabus was an Instructor and Graduate Coordinator in the Department of Printmedia at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and a Visiting Assistant Professor and Grant Wood Fellow in Printmaking at The University of Iowa. Kristina lives and works in Ohio where she is the Assistant Professor of Reproducible Media at Oberlin College.
