Zachary Corsa is an interdisciplinary artist best known for founding the experimental music collective Nonconnah. Collaborating alongside his wife Denny, he explores themes of memory and the past, the lingeringly supernatural, and the profoundly American through hallucinatory layers of guitar and the spectral decay inherent in ‘obsolete’ recording mediums. Drawing on sonic traditions as varied as ambient and drone music, shoegaze, noise music, psych-rock, post-rock, and the occasional touches of old time/Appalachian folk music, Nonconnah’s music has been widely acclaimed by publications such as Pitchfork, SPIN, The Wire, Brainwashed, ATTN, Tiny Mix Tapes, AllMusic, The 405, and Beats Per Minute. Nonconnah has collaborated with envelope-pushing luminaries such as Owen Pallett (Arcade Fire), Greg Saunier (Deerhoof), Randy Randall (No Age), Dustin Wong (Ponytail), Robert Poss (Band Of Susans), Norman Westberg (Swans), Lori Goldston (Earth, Nirvana), Scott Cortez (Lovesliescrushing), and many others. A native of western Massachusetts, Corsa lives in Memphis, Tennessee.
