Rowan Hisayo Buchanan Announces Changes to US Release of Starling Days

KHN Alum (2019) Rowan Hisayo Buchanan is thrilled for the US release of her book, Starling Days, which will be available in the US on April 7, 2020. However, Rowan announced with sadness the cancellation of her American book tour. But that will not stop the book from continuing to be read by many around the world!

Here, sampling the captivating goodness of Starling Days, are writer Alexandra Ford’s (a friend of Rowan's) sheep, as they and the writer/shepherd demonstrate the importance of reading, supporting writers, and the beauty of animals and nature in these trying and uncertain times.

Starling Days was published by Sceptre in UK earlier this year, and will be available in the USA with new cover-art, and is Rowan's second novel; a book about "love, Ovid, mental illness, and Japanese beer." (via Rowan Hisayo Buchanan/website)

The space and set up were great! This is one of my favorite residencies thus far. The location of the apartment wasn't too far from civilization but also in a good area for it not to be super noisy nor was there lots of traffic or other sounds. The middle school across the street wasn't at all a distraction. I also really loved the dessert spots and greatly appreciated the staff's flexibility and availability to help, answer questions, drive you to the store when needed. All the details were thought of right down to a bathroom mat and miscellaneous supplies available in its own closet.
